Dedicated to produce innovative products that help improve efficiency at home and in the office, the brand is committed to steering their research towards sustainability, providing a safe and healthy workplace, and delivering high quality products to our customers. To meet the challenges of changing times, Canon actively pursues R&D around the world.

In view of  the above, if you are looking to buy some Canon products, we have compiled some of Canon's best selling cameras and printers.

Canon Cameras

Manufacturing cameras since 1984, the brand started out with the RC-701 followed by the PowerShot and Digital IXUS series. The cameras are also known to be the best selling products from the Canon brand. Later, they also developed the EOS series of digital single-lens reflex cameras (DSLR) which includes high-end professional models. The Canon EOS was further extended in 2018, reintroduced as the EOS R camera, Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless interchangeable lens system.

EOS Rebel SL3 / EOS 250D (the best)

The EOS Rebel SL3 is ranked the best Canon camera, with an APS-C sensor with 24.1MP of resolution to deliver excellent image quality, Canon EF-S lens mount, 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen with 1.04 million dots, a max burst speed of 5 frames per second, and a maximum video resolution of 4K UHD at 25p. The Rebel SL3 is a lightweight and intuitive DSLR with superb live view shooting, on top of the LCD screen, providing for easy and intuitive photography. Another important point to note is that the Rebel SL3 is ergonomically designed with a DSLR body that’s just about the smallest in the entire market.

EOS 850D (EF-S18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM) (the latest)

The EOS 850D is the latest Canon camera in the market, with a 24.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and 4K video recording. It has all cross-type 45-point AF (viewfinder) – to help focus on moving subjects quickly, easily, and precisely – and Dual Pixel CMOS AF (Live View) – allowing for faster autofocusing and higher photoshoot accuracy with up to 3,975 selectable AF positions across your frame. The EOS 850D also has Wi-Fi connectivity, and has a user-friendly ergonomics and interface. The Canon camera’s price is listed at SGD 1,489, and is considered more suitable for photography enthusiasts rather than for professional use.

Canon Printers

Canon printers are known to represent the pinnacle of printers – after spending decades in the industry, the brand has built an enviable reputation for making some of the best printers on the market today.

PIXMA TR8550 (TR8560 in the APAC market)

With business-like features and fine prints in a compact MFD, the PIXMA TR8550 is known to be the best Canon printer in the market as of 2020. The PIXMA TR8550 has managed to shrink all its features that a small business might need, into a multifunction device that could fit inside a filing cabinet. It has a print speed of 15ppm, a paper capacity of 100 sheets, and weighs 8kg. The five-ink system provides great quality prints, and the printer also has a generously large touchscreen function to make it easy for use. It also has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and a handy SD card slot at the front.

PIXMA PRO-200 (the latest)

The latest Canon printer offers a photo print speed at 35 seconds for 4 x 6-inch prints. It has wireless, wired LAN, wireless Pictbridge, Mopria, AirPrint and Direct Wireless compatibility. This 8-colour dye ink printer is able to deliver a wide colour gamut with rich colour expression in red and blue zones. The Unique Chroma Optimizer gives photographs a rich glossiness to regulate surface reflection for a professional look and feel. Specifications wise, the printer has a 3.0” colour LCD display panel, allowing easy navigation of the printer functions while monitoring ink level status at a glance.

Continuing to Grow in the Market

Canon continues to grow further despite its first-ever quarterly loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In September 2020, Fujitsu had announced a potential partnership with Canon as Fujitsu will provide them with a Supercomputer PRIMEHPC FX1000 unit, to assist with its no-prototype development manufacturing initiative, where the Canon brand will no longer dabble in prototype production. We’re looking forward to see what the brand can offer in the long-run!
